Reaching out and engaging in humanitarian service is something everyone should be involved in, but unfortunately, not everyone has the passion for it. Humanitarian service is something I had desired to do right from my secondary school days because I saw what some of my friends who had no parents were going through. Even getting exercise books and pens to write with was difficult for them.
I also had a teacher who was a member of the Rotary Club. I saw how they came to our school, shared writing materials, and also sunk a borehole for the school. I fell in love with all these acts of service. So, I became very passionate about engaging in humanitarian services and reach-out programs.
As God would have it and as my passion began to come to reality, I was able to join the Rotaract Club (the youth wing of Rotary) after my service year. Indeed, it was a dream come true. I joined other young fellows to render worthwhile service to humanity, reaching out to the less privileged and others in the society.
In the Rotaract Club, we have specific areas of focus that guide our activities, and we carry out our monthly projects based on these areas.
In 2021, the love and passion for humanity led me to establish a foundation called N-Samp Foundation. As a teacher, I have seen what some learners and students pass through in class. Those who have no writing materials often become a distraction to others who do. I also believe that the government and parents cannot do it all alone.
So, I came up with the idea of going to rural schools every year to carry out a book donation project. We give books and other writing materials. Although the resources are not always enough, I believe that one day we will do more. For the past five years, we have been doing this and have also done our best to visit destitute homes to donate foodstuffs, fairly used clothes, toiletries, and other items.
So far, the Rotaract Club of Uyo City and The Katelyn Initiative for Hope have been partnering with us to carry out some of these projects.

Personally, I believe that we must not wait until we have billions before we start helping. We can all help in our own little way, and it will go a long way.
The challenges I have faced so far with N-Samp Foundation include:
🖊️Finding people who would love to volunteer
🖊️Limited finance to touch more lives in rural areas
🖊️Lack of sponsorship and support
🖊️Limited funds to process our CAC registration and other official registrations, which would help us gain recognition and reduce the stress of having to explain what the foundation is about before schools allow us to carry out our projects
So far, our humanitarian services and reach-out programs have impacted lives in rural schools and among the less privileged in all aspects. We are open to support and partnerships to carry out more projects. We also at N-Samp Foundation are seeking your freewill support to help us fast-track our CAC, TIN, and SCUML registration processes.
Indeed, saving humanity comes with the joy of fulfillment.
