Bread is always our go-to for breakfast. This time, I’m making a bread that’s a little different from the usual, using simple ingredients and it’s super easy to make
Flatbread
Flatbread is a very popular type of bread in my area. It’s unique because it’s cooked not in an oven but on a non-stick pan—briefly grilled and flipped over. The result is incredibly delicious flatbread; it may look ordinary, but it has an authentic, rich flavor. The combination of peanut butter with the soft bread dough makes this bread incredibly delicious and absolutely amazing.
Usually, when making this bread, people use unpeeled peanuts, resulting in a coarser texture. However, this time I wanted something different—I wanted to make flatbread with a smooth peanut butter filling that isn’t coarse. It’s made from peeled green beans that are cooked for a long time. Since the process for making the peanut butter is already in my previous post, I didn’t take any more photos of it. The ingredients are just coconut milk and granulated sugar, which are cooked for a long time until they dry out and the butter can be easily shaped.
Ingredients
200 grams all-purpose flour
½ tablespoon instant yeast
1 tablespoon butter
Mineral water as needed
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Mung bean paste (filling)
Instructions
Combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, and granulated sugar, then gradually add water.
After mixing, add the butter and a pinch of salt, then knead the dough until smooth.
Let the dough rest for about 30 minutes until it doubles in size. Divide the dough into several portions,
Then flatten each piece and add the filling.
Sprinkle with flour to prevent sticking, shape into balls, then flatten to the desired thickness.
Once everything is ready, cook on a non-stick pan until evenly cooked.
Result
The bread bakes evenly using a simple method and rises beautifully. I like that even though it’s flat, it’s not hard at all. The texture is absolutely perfect, in my opinion. Although this isn’t the first time I’ve made it, the flavor is definitely better than usual. Everyone at home really loves this bread because it’s so delicious, and the process is quick and easy.
Well, for those of you who don’t have an oven but want to make bread, try this method—I’m sure you’ll love it. The bread is soft and delicious, and the sweetness of the jam makes it even better; everything bakes perfectly.
