My experience: 17 days in Sorare
At the moment I have 41 cards, the sum of the starter kit of 20 virtual cards I received at the beginning of the game plus the cards I have earned in my first 8 weeks of competition as a rookie.
I have been dealt some good cards, enough to place me in the top 15% of my category. For those who think it's difficult, I'll leave the history of my starting teams.
There are two weekly competitions, each one is equivalent to a week in the game, they last from 3 to 4 days and are from Monday to Thursday and from Friday to Sunday.
By the seventh week, the number of registered teams had reached 87,000.
There may be special competitions for a limited time like Common Western in week 10, which was made up of common and limited cards.
I entered in week 20 but it wasn't until week 21 that I created my teams, after reading tutorials, the whitepaper, analysing the market and so on.
I already had some good players there but they were rested, injured or in slump, so the results left a lot to be desired.
On the other hand, a tactical mistake made me put my top players in training instead of sending them to compete (LOL).
Already in week 25 I have a better understanding of the Sorare NBA game, and I have consulted several fantasy sports tools and other tools I already knew with NBA stats to make informed decisions.
As a result, my point total is increasing and my ranking is improving. I will be able to get more valuable cards as a reward.
An exponential improvement
In the week just ended, I sent three teams to compete and as you can see, the results have been pretty good for free to play.
The future of Sorare
There will surely be integrations with other national and regional leagues in the future, events like the Eurocup/Euroleague, the World Cup or the Olympic Games. And possibly the WNBA if it has a market.
