Yesterday I went for another walk on the Lonnekerberg (where I also photographed these mushrooms). The Lonnekerberg is a small, hilly forest that has been left alone for a long time because there was a military airbase there (the airbase is no longer operational, so you can re-target those nukes now).
The first thing I noticed entering the woods were these mushrooms. I don't know what they are called, but they look like they grow pre-fried:

Some of the forest is pine, which I don't like much because it looks gloomy and little will grow on the forest floor:

I prefer the deciduous woodland on the Lonnekerberg, and the little lakes ...

... also because the forest floor there is home to more mushrooms ...

... and pretty kinds of moss:

The maintenance of the little bridges in the area leaves something to be desired, but this stream had dried up long ago, so not a real problem, and it looks quite picturesque:

I also found some mushrooms I hadn't seen before, like these. I tried to look them up, and I think they are orange cups (Melastiza chateri), but I'm not sure:

This one I think is poisonous, but I may be wrong. It is pretty, though:

This mushroom on a dead birch looks like PUR foam flowing out of a forgotten hole:

I ended my walk where I started it, near the lake where I had parked my car, on the edge of the woods:

Well worth a visit, the Lonnekerberg, if you happen to be in the neighbourhood. It's just North of Enschede, The Netherlands.
