Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners' featured post. With each passing day technology continues to evolve, making our lives as humans a lot easier than they were, but sadly many of the technological developments that we enjoy actually come with disadvantages and not all advantages. Once upon a time we had no other means of transportation other than our legs and animals used as means of transportation. Then technology gave us an option to choose from; we had cars that used fossil fuels as a source of energy, and they served their purpose, though they caused pollution and released harmful gases to the atmosphere.

Then over time technology advanced into the production and manufacturing of rechargeable cars; these ones don't release harmful gases into the atmosphere and are environmentally friendly but cannot be used in areas where there is no electricity supply. Saw a video on TikTok where a rechargeable car owner was stranded on a lonely road because his car battery died, though it was labeled AI-generated, but using a rechargeable car, there is still a high chance that such a thing can happen if one is not careful enough.
Then today we have technology at the point where it can produce and manufacture self-driving cars; that is, these cars drive themselves while you as the owner or passenger just sit at the back doing nothing. You just input the destination you have in mind, and then the car drives you to the said destination, reducing stress for humans and making life a lot easier, like I have said before. If probably an owner did not get a good sleep at night, they can just catch some before they arrive at their destination, which is impossible to enjoy when using those cars that are only rechargeable or those that use fossil fuels.
Yes, I support self-driving cars; currently, thanks to technology, I think life is a lot better than what it used to be. Movement from point A to point B back in those days was one to think of before embarking on, but thanks to technology, we just step out today and embark on a journey no matter how long because we trust in the capabilities of technology. To a point I trust a self-driving car more than human drivers these days. Some human drivers take alcohol and drive and will just keep following the instructions of the alcohol and drive like they have two lives while you, who are not under the influence of anything, have your heart racing throughout the drive.
A self-driving car will only put your life at risk when there is a malfunction, which I am sure the company and manufacturers will be working tirelessly to ensure that there is no such thing. My only challenge with self-driving cars is how easily they are hacked by hackers in movies; a hacker can just gain access to the car, change the passenger's route and destination, and the passenger can do little or nothing about it aside from scream and try to exit the car, which the hacker will make very difficult for them.

If companies can work on that, then I think we will experience fewer road accidents because I am sure when there are no malfunctions, self-driving cars will be more careful and more patient than actual humans, thereby reducing the rate of accidents and car bashing drastically. In case there is an accident, the car owner pays; the company only pays when the accident was caused by a malfunction.
