It's a pleasure to write here for the very first time. My respects to the admin(s) here and to you all who have kept this community ticking. My name is Eliakim Ogechi Wamuonso,I joined Hive this year as a novice to the crypto world. My username is a combo of my second name and "witty"- I love some intelligent humour.🙂
Gradually as I fraternize with this interestingly huge Hive environment(even peeping into this community at times), I am indeed learning a lot.
I present to you a crypto outlet that is fast gaining grounds. The name is "pi; o yes I saw that in my Mathematics in primary school,where we were taught pi as being equal to approximately 3.14. Anyways this ain't Maths subject,this is a crypto token for real.
A Background:
Do you know that all the dollar notes in circulation right now are printed within the last 3 years? Fiat currencies allow referenced public institutions to control people's finances and how those people progress.
The Pi Advantage:
Pi is a new digital currency developed by Stanford PhDs, with over 25 million members worldwide. The pi ecosystem is independent of the fiat, it's a revolution to ensure that the finance power is given back to the people; something which Bitcoin failed to properly achieve, due to it's restriction to a minority and it's gross dependence on fiat, which in turn made it a store of value instead of a medium of exchange.
Take Note:
Value and Exchange rate are two different things. While value will ensure that the coin is sought and utilized for various purposes - utilities, exchange rate shall convert the value to what laymen understand in the fiat status-quo. So the higher the value, the higher the fiat status quo assigned value.
Adoption:
The transition to pi shall be progressive, the more businesses adopt pi, the better for everyone. This is already happening. For example, a random Engineer definitely deals with non-pioneers(meaning those who don't have the pi token) , he can sustain his economy with that till he's able to get all he needs within the pi ecosystem.
Application:
From proper research, we have seen housing estates in my country, Nigeria, completely ready to accept pi. This means that in one way or the other, these people are able to satisfy most or all their needs for that business or what they think they would like to do with their money within the pi ecosystem.
In China, businesses are already and predominantly beginning to accept pi. It is already a common thought that the world is a global village, so synergy is taking place fast. Pi is here to give liberty over personal finance. Not just a dump and pump crypto. It's an independent financial system.
Some Caution:
As noted above the because of the established fiat status quo, all cryptocurrencies are tempted to define their coin with fiat and most of them usually fall for it. This would most likely still happen with pi from the angle of pioneers(new users) as most of them would just want to convert their pi to fiat, because that's the only language they understand; but with reduced influence compared to what happened with previous cryptocurrencies.
Conclusion:
In this respect, Pi is a new language, and Pioneers must learn to speak it, via extensive utility optimization research.... Pi for everyday people enclosed network we're waiting.
