Science has been combined with artificial intelligence to produce the ever first living robot. This living robot was reported to be made from living frog cells, the embryos of frogs have been scraped and they have been assembled into a completely different thing which means they are no longer frogs even if it has been produced from the cell of a frog, it has been made into another programmable material known as a living robot.
A living robot is different from other types of robots we know because unlike other robots that are made from metals, plastics and circuits, a living robot seem to come with a difference.
The living robot was named by Levin and his colleagues, they named the robot Xenobots because the specie of frog it was made from was the xenopus laevis also known as the African clawed frogs.
Xenobots have a contractive skin muscle that can contract as well as expand on its own, it also has the ability to push around little objects.

The Great Capabilities of Xenobots.
Scientists have a plan that in future, the Xenobots will be able to deliver drugs into the blood stream of humans, it is going to be able to clean up micro plastics available in the ocean and they hope it will also be able to manage waste spills that come as a result of radioactivity.
The Xenobots have the ability to live for ten days and after their task is completed, they easily fall apart. The robot also has a unique ability of self-healing, it heals itself completely if there is any need for repair.
Even if the robots are not able to carry materials into human blood stream yet, they are able to perform the act of locomotion as they push things around to each other, they can form a collective group to complete a required task.
The fact that they are made up of organic material, will make it impossible for them to cause damage to the human body or other places where they could be applied.
Scientists have a special interest in Xenobots because it is not like other robots that creates ecological side effect after their degradation process and the reason for this is not far-fetched: they old robots are made from steel, chemicals, concrete and plastics.
Xenobots do not have the capacity of reproduction but it has been discovered that they can live for a longer period if they are properly grown in a cell culture that is filled with nutrients.
Scientists have realized that birth defects could be fixed, turmors could be reprogrammed into normal tissues if Xenobots could be made into a 3D form.
