Hey Steemians, my name is Uche, I come from the eastern part of Nigeria so the can call me the man from the east which is the land of the rising sun. I am a trader at the popular Alaba International Market in Lagos and I joined steemit with the hope of tell my story as it is, which is that of a young man from the east coming down to Lagos to settle and do business for a living.
Life for me has not been easy because I didn't come with much wealth, it has been a struggle sometimes to eat but we thank God that I was able to overcome that stage of my life through hard work and perseverance because things now are looking brighter for me a bit. Over the years I have been able to work my way through thick and thin and make sense out of nonsense just to get by. I have watched as my fellow compatriots have fallen by the wayside and given up hope, I have seen the rich cry and the once poor building houses. i have seen dreams quenched and people settling for less because they can't see any good in front of them.
In all this I have held my own and believed that even if I was only able to complete my secondary education without a university degree, I am much better today than many with higher degrees. It has not been my making but that of the God I serve. With that said I also want to make it here on steemit, enjoy my stay here in these difficult times and do great things with the help of members of this great community.
