2 Corinthians 9:8 (New International Version) (NIV)
"And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
God is the only One that can meet the needs of every person...but He operates through men.
Don't limit God with your exposure. Just because you haven't seen God move in a certain way doesn't mean He cannot move in that way. God is more than sufficient.
To be sufficient in spiritual sense means to have enough for yourself, enough for others, and still enough left. We are not sufficient of ourselves.
2 Corinthians 3:5 English Standard Version (ESV)
"Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God."
God is our sufficiency and in Him we have our being. He is more than enough so He will give us more than enough.
Why is it important to understand the sufficiency of God:
- Without Him we can do nothing.
In God we have our being. We are nothing without Him. He owns everything, He controls everything, and everything revolves around Him. There is no life outside God. We can only have life in Him. Know Christ, no crisis. No Christ, know crisis.
- He is our source.
Everything we have and who we are, stems from God. He is our sufficiency, our source and all good gifts come from the father that gives without variableness. Everything we can or can ever desire, comes from Him. We should go to Him as the source rather than to man. He knows how to use men for us.
1 Corinthians 4:7 New International Version (NIV)
"For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?"
- We are not sufficient of ourselves.
We will always need God. There will always come a time in our lives where and when we will need Him. We cannot exist by our self or get things done only by our strength. Everything flows from Him to us. The earlier we recognize this, the better. Get to that point where you recognize your limitlessness and recognize the need to depend on Him.
