Hi everyone!
This summer is very rainy, but it doesn't stop us from going to the mountains.
When we was getting ready for our trip, the weather forecast promised us the sun and the cloudless sky, but my intuition prompted me to bring a raincoat.
So i was right!
As soon as we came and break the tent camp on the lawn, as the heavy rain began.
After a few hours "the shower" was over and we tried to build the fire. Wet firewood didn't want to burn, but fortunately we took a liquid to ignite it.
We froze and were very hungry but suddenly the clouds melt and the stars appeared before us.
What a beautiful sight! It's almost impossible to see it in the city.
In the morning we woke up very early to go picking up mushrooms. The sky was hidden under heavy gray clouds and rain began again. How cool that we brought with us raincoats!
We walked in the woods for half an hour but didn't find yet even a single mushroom.
Because of such weather mushrooms didn't have time to grow as already began to rot. The only thing that grew in such conditions is blueberries. The berries covered the whole wood like a carpet.
And at last in a few hours we came across several mushrooms. These were chanterelles.
A few more hours passed and we were forced to return to our tent camp. The heavy rain washed off the road and we had to climb through the muddy.
Hungry, wet and dirty, but so happy (have no idea why 😁😂😂) we came back to our place and started cooking.
There wasn't even a single living soul around us. There was only us and a damp green moss carpet underfoot.
Sometimes it was very scary to go on the ground, because the moss grows here even on rotten hemp and droplets.
But... it wasn't so important cos brave people always have happiness!
I hope you enjoed my post about Carpathians:)
Do you like to go walk in the mountains?
Best wishes,
Olga:)
