Abaga prepared his mind to see it the following year. When it was time, as usual he arranged the kitchen and sat on a ladder close to the roof.
He had earlier locked his doors and windows, he put out the light and waited expectantly for the priest and his men to pass.
When the priest and his team arrived at the premises, one of the men struck a gong and shouted:
'keep indoors, let there be total darkness. Nursing mothers, breast-feed your children, there should be neither light nor movement, no song, no merriment, no speech from any quarter.
But Abaga was confident this time, he did not close his eyes, he noticed that there were four completely masked men, they all carried horns of different animals. The shortest carried a big calabash painted in different colors.
He was the most fearful of the lot, there was a glow which looked like a ball of fire around the calabash.
