I sang a cover by Theophilus Sunday titled I Choose the Way of the Lord. This song basically talks about the path we choose in this life. There are many ways and many paths, but which one have you chosen? Joshua said, “As for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.” I don’t know about you, but as for me, I choose the way of the Lord. Everyone is left with the choice to decide who they want to follow.
It is not compulsory for you to follow the way of the Lord, but when you carefully look at all the ways available, which one do you truly think is the best? For me, the way of the Lord Jesus Christ is the best and most complete way. It is the road that leads to wisdom, and that is why I choose the way.
I was conversing with a guy and he told me something that struck me deeply. He said he doesn’t believe in the way of the Lord anymore because he is tired of waiting so long without results, while others take shortcuts to get what they want quickly. Honestly, I was speechless for a moment because there are ways that may seem easy and wide to follow, but the end of those ways is destruction.
Some of the things he was thinking of doing involved defrauding people, venturing into unclean practices, or trying illegal things just to get quick results. He simply wanted to feel among the other guys. But I told him that not everything comes fast. Some riches take time, and when you get wealth the right way, you will enjoy it with peace of mind and boldly tell others exactly what you did to earn it.
That was how I encouraged him to stay strong and continue on the right path because, at the right time, everything will align. As long as he is not lazy and keeps showing up daily, the universe will surely reward his efforts.
