The greatest expression of God's love for humanity is giving us his son Christ Jesus to die for our sins on the Cross of Calvary, another gift is the Lord Supper; The Holy Communion or Eucharist. The last supper of Christ on earth shared with love with the Apostles before he was crucified.
Holy Communion serves as both Ordinance and Sacrament to the Christian faith, that is; to those who have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior, this is represented by Bread as a symbol to the Body of Jesus Christ and the Wine symbolizing the Blood of Jesus. Therefore, this representation means it is not a carnal thing to do, not to be taken casually.
"For the Bread of God is the Bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the World" John 6:33
Note the word "Bread", which symbolizes Christ that came from heaven to earth for anyone who believes in his death and resurrection to have eternal life. Also note that this is not just a Carnal Bread anyone can consume at will, like millions of people all over the World who never pays attention to the spiritual intricacies of this divine act mandated by God.
"Then Jesus declared, I am the bread of life, whoever comes to me will never go hungry and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty" John 6:35
"And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it and gave it to them saying; this is my body given for you, do this in remembrance of me. 20 In the same way, after the supper, he took the cup, saying; This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you" Luke 22:19-20
Christ mandated us to do this in remembrance of him, that is those who have become the child of God, and not just masses as practiced and encouraged by different doctrines all over the world.
THE HEALING POWER OF THE HOLY COMMUNION
It is for a fact that the blood and Body of Christ have dominion over all principalities and darkness, there have been instances all over the World of people been cured of different alignments and sickness no matter how terminally ill these people are. For example, in my Church today; a woman gave a testimony of healings from Partial Stroke as a result of her taking part in a communion service sometime last week and from her testimony and thousands more, there is absolute healing power in the Body and Blood of Jesus- To those worthy of taking it.
"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him and by his wounds, we are healed" Isaiah 53:5
This is God's ordained channel of healing and wholeness, though it should not be taken insolently with any immorality. Once this rule is adhered to, then the preservation, wholeness, provision, and healing obtained from Christ Suffering on the Cross of Calvary would be obtainable to anyone.
HOLY COMMUNION AND ADDICTIONS
Please note, taking Holy Communion is deep spiritual action, it requires knowing the Lord God deeply and accepting his son's death on the Cross of Calvary which is very paramount. Any form of addiction; Drug, Alcohol, Pornography, Masturbation, Food, Anger etc will flee once the individual accepts Christ Jesus.
"If you love me, you will obey my commandment" John 14:15
Loving Christ after accepting him frees anyone from any form of addiction, living in pains(Abstainance) helps instead of seeking an easy path of freedom from addiction(Rehab, Theraphy). Rehab and Therapeutic approaches works, but there might be a Relaspe!
