Today was one of the most peaceful and beautiful Saturdays I had in a long time. I spent the day with my Umrah friends in Istanbul, and it was really special for me. We were six people together, and I also took my mother with me. It made me very happy to spend time with both my friends and my mom on such a beautiful day.
Bugün uzun zamandır geçirdiğim en huzurlu ve güzel cumartesilerden biriydi. İstanbul’daki umre arkadaşlarımla birlikte vakit geçirdim ve bu benim için gerçekten çok özeldi. Toplam altı kişiydik ve annemi de götürdüm. Hem arkadaşlarımla hem de annemle böyle güzel bir gün geçirmek beni çok mutlu etti.
We met at a place called Gül Mahal. It is actually close to our home, but this was my first time visiting there with my friends. Some of our friends recommended this place before, and now I understand why they liked it so much.
Gül Mahal adlı bir mekanda buluştuk. Aslında evimize yakın bir yer ama arkadaşlarımla ilk kez gittim. Daha önce bazı arkadaşlarımız bu mekanı önermişti ve şimdi neden bu kadar sevdiklerini daha iyi anlıyorum.
The place has a very natural and peaceful atmosphere. It is full of green trees, flowers, fresh air, and beautiful sitting areas. There are different concepts inside the place. Some people prefer sitting near the pool, while others choose traditional floor seating areas like us.
Mekanın çok doğal ve huzurlu bir atmosferi vardı. Yeşil ağaçlar, çiçekler, temiz hava ve güzel oturma alanlarıyla doluydu. Mekanın içinde farklı konseptler vardı. Bazı insanlar havuz kenarında oturmayı tercih ederken, bizim gibi bazıları da yerde oturma alanlarını seçiyordu.
We decided to sit on the floor because we wanted a quieter and more comfortable environment. We wanted to talk freely, laugh together, and enjoy our breakfast peacefully.
Biz yerde oturmayı tercih ettik çünkü daha sessiz ve rahat bir ortam istedik. Rahat rahat konuşmak, birlikte gülmek ve kahvaltımızı huzurlu şekilde yapmak istedik.
When we arrived around 11 a.m., the weather was a little cold. The sky looked cloudy, and it almost felt like it would rain. There was a soft wind in the morning, so we did not choose the poolside tables at first.
Saat 11 gibi geldiğimizde hava biraz soğuktu. Gökyüzü bulutluydu ve yağmur yağacak gibi görünüyordu. Sabah hafif bir rüzgar vardı, bu yüzden ilk başta havuz kenarında oturmayı tercih etmedik.
The breakfast table looked very nice. There was fresh bread, cheese, olives, vegetables, and hot tea waiting for us. One of the best things about Turkish breakfast is unlimited tea. We had a big samovar tea pot, and we drank tea for hours while talking together.
Kahvaltı masası çok güzel görünüyordu. Taze ekmek, peynir, zeytin, sebzeler ve sıcak çay bizi bekliyordu. Türk kahvaltısının en güzel şeylerinden biri sınırsız çaydır. Büyük bir semaverimiz vardı ve birlikte sohbet ederken saatlerce çay içtik.
We stayed at the breakfast table for almost two hours. Time passed very quickly because the conversation was beautiful. We talked about life, memories, Umrah, and many funny moments.
Kahvaltı masasında yaklaşık iki saat oturduk. Sohbet çok güzel olduğu için zaman çok hızlı geçti. Hayattan, anılardan, umreden ve birçok komik anıdan konuştuk.
The breakfast was not bad, but honestly, I had better breakfasts before. Still, the atmosphere made this place special. Nature changes everything. Sitting among green trees and breathing fresh air gives people peace.
Kahvaltı kötü değildi ama dürüst olmak gerekirse daha güzel kahvaltılar yaptığım yerler olmuştu. Yine de ortam bu mekanı özel yapıyordu. Doğa her şeyi değiştiriyor. Yeşil ağaçların arasında oturmak ve temiz hava almak insana huzur veriyor.
Around noon, the weather slowly became warmer. The sun came out, and the place looked brighter and more alive. Then we moved closer to the pool area to drink coffee.
Öğlene doğru hava yavaş yavaş ısındı. Güneş çıktı ve mekan daha canlı görünmeye başladı. Daha sonra kahve içmek için havuz kenarına geçtik.
The poolside area was also very beautiful. There were wooden tables, small seating areas, and many trees around us. The sound of the water fountain made the atmosphere even more relaxing.
Havuz kenarı da çok güzeldi. Ahşap masalar, küçük oturma alanları ve etrafımızda birçok ağaç vardı. Su sesleri ortamı daha da huzurlu hale getiriyordu.
By that time, it was almost 2 or 3 p.m. More people started arriving for barbecue and lunch. In the morning, the place was calm and quiet, but later it became more lively.
O saatlerde artık saat 2-3’e yaklaşmıştı. İnsanlar mangal ve öğle yemeği için gelmeye başlamıştı. Sabah mekan çok sakin ve sessizdi ama sonra daha hareketli hale geldi.
One thing I really liked about this place was the connection with nature. There were cats, dogs, rabbits, and even horses somewhere in the area. Unfortunately, I could not see the horses.
Bu mekanda en sevdiğim şeylerden biri doğayla olan bağlantısıydı. Kediler, köpekler, tavşanlar ve hatta atlar vardı. Maalesef ben atları göremedim.
One of my favorite moments was drinking Turkish coffee while sitting near the trees. Sometimes people do not need luxury places to feel happy. Good conversations, tea, coffee, and nature are enough.
En sevdiğim anlardan biri ağaçların yanında Türk kahvesi içmekti. Bazen mutlu olmak için lüks yerlere ihtiyaç yoktur. Güzel sohbetler, çay, kahve ve doğa yeterlidir.
Today reminded me how important simple moments are. Life in Istanbul can sometimes feel very fast and tiring. That is why peaceful places like this become very valuable.
Bugün bana basit anların ne kadar önemli olduğunu hatırlattı. İstanbul’da hayat bazen çok hızlı ve yorucu olabiliyor. Bu yüzden böyle huzurlu yerler çok değerli hale geliyor.
I am really happy we met today. Spending time with my Umrah friends again felt emotional and beautiful. Seeing my mother happy also made me very happy.
Bugün buluştuğumuz için gerçekten çok mutluyum. Umre arkadaşlarımla tekrar vakit geçirmek duygusal ve çok güzeldi. Annemin mutlu olduğunu görmek de beni ayrıca çok mutlu etti.
At the end of the day, I came home feeling peaceful and thankful. I think everyone needs days like this sometimes.
Günün sonunda eve huzurlu ve mutlu hislerle döndüm. Bence herkesin bazen böyle günlere ihtiyacı var.
