Lisk is a platform for building decentralised apps on Javascript. It uses delegated Proof of Stake, just like Steemit and Bitshares.
I'm not a programmer, unfortunately, but I've made an extensive research on Lisk, read all their blogposts, was on Telegram channel, upvoted their post on Steemit, and so on, so I'll present my point of view on what they are trying to do.
They've been posting consistently since october, 2017. They were posting about their trips to Asia, their team, their connections with asian exchanges and so on.
It was done so high-quality, so well thought-out, that it was even interesting to read.
place on coinmarketcap:
LISK is in top 20 coins, currently rising amidst the recessing crypto market.
Lisk magazine
#Lisk team even founded the Lisk magazine. https://www.liskmagazine.com/. Their marketing strategy is working great I believe, as it has 3.2 billion dollar capitalisation (if Steem would have it, It'll worth 10$ now).
Lisk's real-world implementations
Lisk's team is still developing their SDK (Software development kit) that will enable smart contracts programming with Javascript. Currently the release date is for 20th February.
