2 Corinthians 6:17-18 (NIV)
Many are we that "touch so many unclean" which of course God dislike. Unclean things in our biblical knowledge and Christianity are some characters which we take actions on them that are sinful before God. Such characters like: drunkenness, fornication, adultery, killing, gossipping, worshipping of idols, and the like. Some of the lead to the destruction of our bodies and others bring shame to our selves and the entire societies. They also separate us from the love of God, since God hates sinful acts.
There is an adarge in our local dialogue that explains that: "A tree that can pierce through our body, we don't cut it and leave some; but we uproot the whole tree from the ground." What this means is that, for anything that can harm your life, whether in this living on Earth or our future Salvation; we should away with it or get rid from occurring on our life. Because, anuthing that can geopardise ourlives are consciously dealt with, but we don't joke with it. So, the whole verse of this sermon from the Book of 2 Corinthians 6 down to verse 18 was admonishing us to separate ourselves from friends that will encourage us to keep track of righteousness, but will encourage us to mingle with lives that let us commit sins and at the end we shall lose our Salvation that Jesus Christ has built for us.
At times, in human knowledge, we often think that people who separate themselves from group or individuals are "anti-social." But, it's rather best of practice to be anti-social as far as this is concerned than to lose your Salvation. Because, the Scripture says that some ways to human are right, but their ending lead to eternal death. We mostly follow mankind, but it is best to listen and follow what God says. Let many people reject you because of some righteouness that you want to maintain, because Salvation is individualism not in group. God would say that because you thought together to overthrow what He has instituted for us to follow He will consider all of us.
The word of God is true, and God doesn't change. He is the same yesterday, tomorrow and forever. Therefore, let's listen to him and obey his words so that we can be saved. Thanks for your time!
