I just went to Vilnius University Aula Parva hall to play for the Graduation ceremony of Business School Entrepreneurship program.
Before the event they asked me to play the Gaudeamus Igitur anthem in the key of Ab major and do a run-through with the soloist. She really doesn't have a strong voice but wore a beautiful dress instead, haha! She had a mic so downstairs it sounded fine.
For the prelude I played organ arrangement of Pomp and Circumstance by Edward Elgar transposed to the key of Db major which worked better with the consequent Gaudeamus.
By the way, I was introduced to the special grim-looking security guard who told me to lock myself up in the organ balcony and don't forget to lock the doors after the event as well.
What's this all about?
Apparently they had Israeli Ambassador as a guest speaker.
