I always check the charity shops on the lookout for cheap Silver Bargains! But it's getting harder to find because the staff are more vigilant in their testing, and most charity shops now sell on internet auction sites like eBay.
I did however get a good SCORE recently in these 925 Sterling Silver Rings, with Viking Runes displayed on front of a pitted background. They cost £1.50 each and weigh a combined 14.4 grams ⚖ A bit more junk for the booty trunk 🗃👊
The lady in the shop said they were her old rings, and she had only just put them on display 5 minutes prior so "I was lucky to get them"!
With help my new Macro Lens I managed to get a clear shot of the 925 hallmark which would have been out of focus before. The rings have an open gap on the back of the band so they are adjustable to fit different size fingers, but I can only get them on my pinky.
The Rune that looks like an 'M' is called Mannaz which means 'Mankind'. It represents the self, friends, enemies, and social order.
The Rune that looks like a 'Y' is called Algiz which means 'The Elk'. It represents protection, the shield, and warding off evil.
