Any pet I have at hand is my favorite pet
Hello, hives!!
How was your week going?
It is another edition of the weekly contest.
I believe that you are all doing great.
I don't have a favorite pet, any animal that revolves around me at a time is my favorite at that time.
I have been so familiar with so many pets since a young age. I have owned different animals as a pet such as rats, hens and cock, from goats to cats but for now, I have pigeons and chicks.
I have noticed I love living creatures so many years ago that we laid a catch trap tin container baited with fresh cassava to lure and cash rats which when succeeded in catching one, will be kept as a pet in a cage I specially made for rats.
Growing up with a family that had farmland and loved to rear animals made my love for that animal grow. I have gained different experiences petting animals from their ways of living life, and their end.
Yes, I have seen the death of two pets that pains me more than poking me a pin.
The first one was Oskildo, my Indian cat which was given to me by a boss then and the second was Suru, a lovely but very stubborn goat I had then.
Maybe this contributed to me not having a favorite pet but only believing that what I have at hand is my favorite.
Different pets have different ways they operate with their owner and I don't want to bring back memories.
At present, I have two white doves and chicks which I consider as my favorite at hand. They are beautiful lovable creatures I used to call double twins because all four creatures have the same color and size.
They are easy to care for and not emotionally attached like Oskildo and Suru. ( the cat and the goat).
I loved the way my pests behaved around me whenever they saw me approaching them. If not for caution, they are ready to give me a walk whenever I am going out to do my part-time job.
The animal I haven't been opportune to have as a pet is a dog. I have confirmed they are the animal pet that understands human behavior the most. From speaking to listening and companionship. Most call them human friends due to their lovely behavior but the scenario in my country talks otherwise in Africa, Nigeria precisely.
The issue of aggressive dogs is now topping the incident chat causing at least 20 injuries from dog bites and 5 death cases of minors and different kills on people's cocks and hens for food. I know I will have a dog shortly but it won't be for security purposes.
Wild dogs are noted for their aggressive behavior. I will go for a pet friend, not a guard but for now, my two white doves and chicks are on my mind.
Thanks for reading through.
