Was trying to get on KAT ytd to check for the new Mr. Robot episode,,, wouldn't load, maybe a server issue i thought.
So fast forward, i woke up, site still not loading, googled a bit and found an depressing article:

immediately after seeing the Title i felt horor!
To sum it up, they allegedly completly shut down the KAT with all it's domains and servers, arresting the owner and planing a departure of his to the U.S.
KAT was valued at about $55m with a potential annual revenue of ~$22m.
The article made a mention of Kim Dotcom planning to resurrect Mega Upload, which i think is rather interesting, I know the guy has had an eye into crypto for a while ow, there's a MEGA coin,,, who knows what we might see in the future... I know there were some crypto torrent projects but not sure where they ended up... but neverthenless,IMO this might be an good opportunity for an well organised crypto project.
What's the opinion's of the steemers? Are we about to see yet another interesting crypto project coming out to replace torrent sites? what would be the benefits of making a blockhain based torrent service/platform?
P.S. does anyone have any good torrent sites at hand? I'd appreciate a link much! :)
