After the shooting of the Syrian airplane by the Americans, Russia has declared a no-fly zone West of the Euphrates river.
Craig Roberts says the Russians are responsible for inviting this kind of intervention of the Americans, because they wanted to try to find an agreement with the Americans to fight terrorism together, in an attempt to overcome the hostility against Russia. Each time they were on the verge of finishing their initiatives in Syria they stopped and waited for the Americans to fight together. (Remember the progress in Latakia that suddenly stopped, or Aleppo etc.)
Craig Roberts says this was a big strategic mistake on the part of the Russians as the Americans used terrorism to overthrow Assad, and so cooperation with the Americans to fight terrorism is in fact impossible. (The American military-industrial complex has 1.1 trillion usd interests to defend)
