Aprovechando la iniciativa vigente de la comunidad Hive Argentina, es que quiero contar una experiencia extraordinaria que viví el día de ayer 13/06/2025, con mi hijo Don Juan. Como muchos saben, soy padre de tres seres hermosos y si bien en mis reflexiones, siempre abrazo a todos, en este caso la experiencia particular fue con el más pequeño de la familia.

! [English]Taking advantage of the initiative of the Hive Argentina community, I want to tell you about an extraordinary experience I had yesterday, 06/13/2025, with my son Don Juan. As many of you know, I am the father of three beautiful beings and although in my reflections, I always embrace everyone, in this case the particular experience was with the youngest of the family.
Today in his role as Exhibitor.
Cursando el sexto y último grado, del colegio primario, fue seleccionado para hablar en una feria de ciencias en el distrito de Ezeiza, provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Más específicamente en la escuela técnica N.º 1 del barrio La Unión, que casualmente soy graduado en una institución de la misma rama, pero situado en la provincia de Corrientes. El tema a desarrollar fue Las redes sociales y en particular el grooming. Un tema que me parece fundamental tratarlo en las escuelas y a una edad apropiada. ¡Aplausos por eso!
! [English] Studying the sixth and last grade, of primary school, was selected to speak at a science fair in the district of Ezeiza, province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. More specifically in the technical school No. 1 of the neighborhood La Union, which coincidentally I am a graduate of an institution of the same branch, but located in the province of Corrientes. The topic to develop was Social networks and in particular the grooming. A topic that I think it is essential to deal with in schools and at an appropriate age, so let's hear it for that!
Bromeando con la maestra, le digo al niño, no le gusta bailar, pero hablando, nadie lo para 😁. Yo fui el único de la familia que pudo acompañarlo. Su madre trabaja lejos y los hermanos con sus obligaciones. Así que ahí estuve yo, su papá, en ese rol que en ocasiones parece invisible, pero que hoy se volvió protagónico. No solo como espectador en primera fila y orgulloso, sino como su sostén, como testigo de su crecimiento.
! [English] Joking with the teacher, I tell her the kid, he doesn't like to dance, but talking, nobody stops him 😁. I was the only one in the family who could accompany him. His mother works far away and the siblings with their obligations. So there I was, his dad, in that role that sometimes seems invisible, but today became the protagonist. Not only as a proud spectator in the front row, but as his support, as a witness of his growth.
Mientras lo escuchaba hablar, con tanta seguridad, frente a los docentes evaluadores, otros chicos y adultos en general, se me hizo un nudo en la garganta. Reincido en esta observación “los 50 me está pegando fuerte 😃”. Y la emoción no fue por nostalgia, sino por orgullo. Es que esas pequeñas grandes cosas, como una charla en una feria, son oportunidades de oro para acercarnos, para construir esa confianza que se va tejiendo en nuestro día a día.
Nos pasamos la vida tratando de comunicarnos con nuestros hijos. A veces, pensamos que se trata de hablar mucho, de explicar todo, de sermones eternos y monótonos. Pero en realidad, en ocasiones, solo se trata con estar. Con ir, con mirar, con sonreír, con compartir un viaje en colectivo, una charla sobre cualquier cosa y por supuesto, con aplausos sinceros.
! [English]As I listened to him speak, so confidently, in front of the evaluating teachers, other kids and adults in general, I got a lump in my throat. I repeat this observation "the 50s is hitting me hard 😃". And the excitement was not out of nostalgia, but pride. It's that those little big things, like a chat at a fair, are golden opportunities to get closer, to build that trust that is woven into our day to day.
We spend our lives trying to communicate with our children. Sometimes, we think it's all about talking a lot, explaining everything, endless and monotonous sermons. But in reality, sometimes it's just about being. It's about going, looking, smiling, sharing a bus ride, a chat about anything, and of course, sincere applause.
Acompañarlo como padre en lo que hacen, en lo que les importa, es también una forma de decirle, estoy con vos, me importa lo que haces, me emociona verte crecer. En lo particular pienso de que no hay vínculo más sólido, del que se construye, desde la presencia. Hoy volví a casa con muchos pendientes en mis labores cotidianas, pero con el corazón lleno. Mi hijo y la vida me enseño, de que no hace falta esperar grandes momentos para conectarnos con las personas que amamos.
! [English] Accompanying them as a parent in what they do, in what matters to them, is also a way of telling them, I am with you, I care about what you do, I am excited to see you grow. In particular, I think that there is no stronger bond than the one that is built from presence. Today I returned home with many pending tasks in my daily work, but with a full heart. My son and life taught me that it is not necessary to wait for great moments to connect with the people we love.
La feria estuvo muy bien organizada y pude recorrer muchos estantes, con alumnos y profesores explicando con tanto amor y pasión sus proyectos. Estos eventos son el resultado de meses de trabajos, que suceden, mientras nosotros estamos quizás quejándonos por nimiedades.
Para terminar e invitar a que participen de esta genial iniciativa, quiero decirte, que a veces no somos los mejores padres. A veces llegamos tarde, estamos cansados, o simplemente no sabemos bien como actuar. Es que no venimos con un libro bajo el brazo que nos enseñe a ser padre. Es por eso que pienso, que cuando aparece una oportunidad de acompañar, no hay que dudarlo. Porque en esos gestos sencillos, a veces silenciosos, como dice Zuni, ocurre la magia estimados compañeros. Ellos crecen y nosotros también.

! [English] The fair was very well organized and I was able to walk through many shelves, with students and teachers explaining their projects with so much love and passion. These events are the result of months of work, which happen, while we are perhaps complaining about trifles.
To conclude and invite you to participate in this great initiative, I want to tell you that sometimes we are not the best parents. Sometimes we are late, we are tired, or we just don't know how to act. We don't come with a book under our arm that teaches us how to be a parent. That's why I think that when an opportunity to accompany appears, we should not hesitate. Because in those simple gestures, sometimes silent, as Zuni says, the magic happens, dear colleagues. They grow and so do we.
