Bangladesh duo Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal have been named in the World XI side that will face West Indies in a lone T20I match on May 31 at Lord’s.
The cricket match is being organised to raise funds for stadia in the Caribbean which were damaged due to hurricanes Irma and Maria last year.
Shakib is the top-ranked all-rounder in the world and Tamim is Bangladesh’s dashing opener who has shown fantastic form in recent years. Their involvement was informed by the ICC today. The Bangladesh duo will join other Asians like Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik and Thisara Perera of Sri Lanka. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan has also confirmed his involvement for the lone T20I.
