It's really been wonderful having Creston stay with us at the airbnb.
On Sunday - he cooked for us - and this was the second meal he has made for us. The first one definitely needs a blog as well. On that occasion he made salmon for us - also cooked on the barbecue - very much a Thai type of recipe. I'm enjoying the different tastes and especially as we are getting so many Thai recipes on our competition - it's good that I'm experiencing such different tastes.
We've had so much fun - each of us taking a turn to cook - haha it's almost like a reality show cooking contest. Creston also introduced us to a game he played with his kids when they were young. We each had to talk about our "apple" of the day - a high point and our "onion" of the day - a low point. Was great fun and a tradition I'd like to carry on.
Creston fired up the barbecue and laid the coals in a specific was so as to slow cook the Black Angus Ribeye Steak from the UK - Wow !! - I cannot fully describe the tender and tasty steak - he cooked the meat to perfection. Perfectly pink on the inside with an amazingly flavoured charred outside.
My first thoughts were that this was enough to feed an army - but six of us made short work of it.
He also char grilled the vegetable on the fire - cauliflower, cabbage, tomatoes, zucchini - and not to forget some of Dalia's red chilli's - which she reluctantly gave to Creston to put on the fire. eats these raw and she can't get them hot enough. Just a little on our fingers from touching them was enough to send Lesley and I grabbing the tzadziki to cool down. Was also great to see one of our contestants
