Hi bloggers and food lovers! To kick off this Sunday, I’m starting by making a street food dish that’s quite famous in my area—it’s called telur gulung or egg rolls skewers. Telur gulung is a street food snack that’s very easy to make; the basic ingredients are just eggs and water, cooked in hot oil. It’s really fun to make because you need a skewer to roll it up in the oil. This time I made them with mozzarella filling, which makes this snack even more appealing to eat. Alright, let’s get started
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 6 tbsp water
- a pinch of salt
- a pinch of bouillon powder
- mozzarella slices
- skewers
Steps:

Cut the mozzarella into long strips and skewer them with the prepared skewers
Set aside

- Crack the eggs into a bowl, I use a small glass so it’s easier to pour when cooking

- Add the salt and bouillon powder

- Whisk the eggs until the whites and yolks are well combined

- Add water to the beaten eggs

- Heat oil in a pan, once hot, reduce the heat and pour a small amount of the egg mixture into the oil

- Quickly take a skewer with mozzarella and roll it in the egg mixture in the oil

- Roll the egg around the skewer and press it against the edge of the pan so the egg sticks and doesn’t unravel

- Drain

- Repeat the process until all the beaten eggs are used up

- Serve on a plate with tomato sauce or your favorite sauce

- The Cheese omelette roll skewers are ready to eat

- Serve while warm so the cheese is still stretchy when eaten
