Hi bloggers and food lovers, do you like udon? My favorite is niku udon, but this time I wanted to try udon a little differently, with a creamy and spicy broth. This is the first time I’ve made udon this way, and it turned out delicious and just right. Okay, let’s get started
Ingredients:
- 1 package of udon
- 500 ml water
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 shallot
- 1 tbsp gochujang sauce
- 1 tbsp margarine
- 1 cup udon cooking water
- 1 cup milk/cooking cream
- 3 slices smoked beef
- 1 tbsp chili flakes
- a pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Bring water to a boil in a pot
- Add the udon noodles and cook for 7 minutes
- Drain and set aside
- Heat a pan and sauté the chopped shallot and garlic in a little margarine until fragrant
- Add the gochujang sauce
- Sauté briefly, then pour the udon cooking water into the pan
- Add milk or cooking cream to the pan
- Add the smoked beef slices
- Add the chili flakes to the pan
When it starts to boil, add the udon and cook until thickened
Turn off the heat and serve on a plate
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top
- Cheesy creamy udon is ready to eat
