I searched for the painting I sold on Artfinder in my folders and binders today: I have to ship it in a few days, of course. It took some time to find it because my paintings and drawings on paper are not, well, so ordinately filed. ;)
searching for "Ship", I found some other drawings and paintings I forgot I have. So, I'm showing 10 of those artworks to you today.
Some of those paintings and drawings show a dog and a man: a subject I never stopped creating.
Maybe there is also a story passing through this group of artworks. Let's see.
A man alone with his colors watched the horizon of his life. He felt something was missing. The man was glad and grateful for the flaw he felt. "I have a quest now!", he thought.
The man's search started in the cities: he spent many time trying to find what he missed there. But nothing in the cities was what he was searching for.
He had a comrade in his quest: an horse was his mate and helped him tirelessly. The man traveled across many cities with the horse. Then they left the urban landscapes and entered the countryside and the wilderness.
The horse followed the man for years and helped him even through the swamp of his words and thoughts. But came the moment when the horse left the man alone. He went forward and was alone in his search for what he missed.
The man sometimes saw himself like a island looking for another island, or a continent looking for another continent. But this fantasy seemed counterproductive for the man's quest. So he abandoned it.
The man's quest went on for years. He traveled across woods and fields and mountains, even in dangerous places. It was hard but the man never changed his mind or doubted about how he was spending his life.
Passing through a suburb, the man met another comrade. A bright dog chose him and followed him - or maybe the animal showed him another route.
The two of them traveled together. And it was not how it was with the horse: because there are many kinds of magic creatures.
The man and the dog talked a lot, never using any words. The colors of the world around them seemed warmer as they fed each other.
We don't know when it happened: the man, little by little, stopped looking for his unknown goal, even if he never stopped searching.
They still keep going.
Dedicated to all the dogs of my life.
