This was excellent!
We hit things kind of hard today. As we adjust to having our sixth child and begin our first full week together, we're dialing in our schedule and making the most of each moment. I had to grab some things from town today, and since had already mentioned that she wanted to grill out this evening, I picked up some veggies to go with the meat she was planning to grill.
She's constantly picking up new skills and getting more "badges for her vest," so after making her first homemade gelatin ever, she wanted to master the grill. I grabbed some Anaheim Peppers, Sweet Peppers, Yellow Summer Squash, and Zucchini to make while I got the coals ready for her. We can't wait to begin to reap our own harvest this year and toss it on the grill fresh, but for now this'll have to do.
I picked up some natural charcoal rather than the pressed charcoal briquettes, which take longer to heat up anyway. We are planning on just making our own lump charcoal in the future, so hopefully this'll be our last bag to buy. Anyway, this was such a tasty group of vegetables and the Anaheim Peppers were amazing. Here's some photos from this evening. Enjoy (we sure did!)
