Look at what I just killed.

Yes, a "little" furry creature is now dead because of me. I'm not trying to provoke anyone or brag, but rather just to share life experiences. First off, this thing is HUGE, in my opinion. It's a rat, that's about the size of a squirrel. It's been raiding some of our animal feed lately and even "leaving droppings" (pooping) under our house. While I certainly so appreciate the beauty and incredible-ness of this creature, it just didn't have a purpose on our homestead, and therefore I made my decision.

Much like a mole or opossum, it has some amazingly soft and luxurious fur. I was rather impressed with that, along with the size. Thankfully, these are few and far between around here.... and now we've got one less. So, what would you have done if you encountered one outside of your house? Would you take the shot, or let it go?
