A neighbor's tomatoes are disappearing and he looks at all of us very suspiciously
Did you know that a squirrel can plant an Avocado tree?
Today I will show you the antics of the young "gardening squirrels at our home. But first, I want to show you who the thief is and how he teaches the other young ones to steal tomatoes.
Come and have a look!
This is the neighbor's prized tomato box in his garden.
And I had a witness watching the thief.
But here the witness on the back of the tree decided to go and steal his own tomato.
Now for the Avocado trees!
This is a young growing Avocado Tree in our garden.
The Avocado pit was plonked down by a squirrel and the pit decided to grow. Here is what the pit looks like. And you can see the root has cracked the pit open.
The volunteer gardener gets thirsty and she pops up regularly for a drink at the bird bath.
After she has taken off her spectacles, of course.
But I have a surprise awaiting!
I don't think that any of the squirrel gardeners or any of the others will try to steal my tomatoes.
Unless of course they like very hot "tomatoes" but I doubt that very much.
The squirrels have also planted Hubbard Squash pumpkins here, and Butternut pumpkins, onions, carrots, potatoes, beetroot, tomatoes and maize. And of course their own peanut bushes. Which I will show you in another post.
They are all unpaid volunteer gardeners, and whenever their memory is at a loss wherever they planted something it simply grows. A fun garden indeed, as we all eat from it.
And That's All Friends!
