Soon it will be time for the cry of Jackal and the giggle of Hyena, not to talk about the occasional roar of Lion and the hoot of Owl. Apart from the crickets and the frogs, a sheer silence descends upon the bushveld farm. No screaming of house alarms, or the cry of ambulance sirens, no traffic noise and the interruptions of loud music and a totally laid back lifestyle that has no resemblance to city life!
A clear sight of the starry milky way, the occasional crack of a wooden log in the fire, clean air and pure spring drinking water. What a life!
Let me show you the skies as night settles.
Late afternoon at the waterhole and as you can see, all of the animals have retired for the night.
The start of a magical sunset!
The view from the front verandah of our place!
As night settles, one gets an inner feeling that all is well.
A feeling of wonder at nature and as the nocturnal animals start to make their presence heard, one gets the feeling that this is how life is supposed to be. A calmness and serenity reigns within the soul, as the trickling music of water coursing over rocks in a nearby river lull one's thoughts into the harmony of nature.
The clean air brings a yawn and the warm bed beckons.
This is life!
