Es imposible viajar a India y no visitar el Ganges.
Es una cultura muy diferente a la nuestra. Sin embargo nos emociona a todos por igual.
Estas fotos son del amanecer sobre el río.
Estando en la ciudad de Varanasi, nos levantamos muy temprano en la mañana para llegar aún de noche al Ganges. Allí nos subimos a una barca y recorrimos el río, al igual que cientos de turistas. De pronto nos sorprende el sol en el cielo, pero el cielo de la India es distinto a otros cielos. La contaminación ambiental es tanta que no nos permite ver un cielo celeste.
A pesar de la contaminación las imágenes transmiten toda la espiritualidad del lugar.

It is impossible to travel to India and not visit the Ganges.
It is a very different culture from ours. However, we are all equally excited.
These photos are of the sunrise over the river.
Being in the city of Varanasi, we got up very early in the morning to reach the Ganges even at night. There we got on a boat and crossed the river, like hundreds of tourists. Suddenly the sun in the sky surprises us, but the sky of India is different from other skies. Environmental pollution is so great that it does not allow us to see a celestial sky.
Despite the contamination, the images convey all the spirituality of the place.

Nadar en el río sagrado es perjudicial para la salud, sin embargo miles de hindúes continúan bañándose en él. Creen que bañarse en las aguas del Ganges los absuelve de sus pecados.

Swimming in the holy river is detrimental to health, yet thousands of Hindus continue to bathe in it. They believe that bathing in the waters of the Ganges absolves them of their sins.
