Well hello Steemit community!
My name is Kyle Parks and yes as I stated in the title, today is my 28th birthday. WooHoo....isn't it fun getting older? (Said no one ever).
Other than a few posts on other blogs, this is my first official blog post, so please take it easy on me.
As I said before, I am now 28 years young. I live in the beautiful state of Florida and have lived here all my life. I have a feeling that there aren't too many people on this site with my kind of job. I am in the forestry industry, and no I am not a park ranger, more specifically I am a consulting forester.
What does a consulting forester do?
Great question! My main job is to work with landowners that do not know much about the environment or the outdoors even, and show them the potential that their property has. Whether it is how much money they can make with their property growing trees, or how to make their property look as aesthetically pleasing as they want. Basically I get to spend most of my time working in the woods, how can you not love this job?
How did you find out about Steemit?
Another great question! Man you're good! In all honesty, I found Steemit by googling ways to make some extra money in my spare time. When I realized that I could possibly make money by just posting on other peoples posts and writing my own blogs I was hooked. While I'll admit money was the reason I came here, I have realized very fast that this community is not all about making money and I love that about it. Of course I still have a lot to learn about Steemit, STEEM, Steem Power and Steem Dollars.
I have truly enjoyed coming the website and just reading what people have to say. I really love the fact that people can post freely about what they are passionate about.
Well what are you passionate about Kyle?
Man you are spot on with these questions! My true passion is the outdoors and anything that has to do with the outdoors. I also enjoy messing around with nature photography. As of right now I only use my iPhone but want to eventually upgrade to a better camera. I really only take pictures of what I see while on the job.
I feel like I should wrap this up so to finish off, here is a picture of my goofy cat Shadow being weird like he always is. Thank you again for welcoming me into your community!
