Everyone has seen people who are extremely confident in their looks and qualities. We have often asked, "How do they do that?". The answer is easy. They have self-esteem or healty dose narcissisum.
At first glance, narcissism and high self-esteem seem the same, but they differ in their essence !
Narcissists are convinced they are superior to others. This does not mean, however, that they feel good about themselves. In contrast, people with high self-esteem naturally approve and like themselves, but they do not feel they are superior to others.
Typically, people who have a high level of self-esteem value themselves, but do not regard themselves as more valuable than others. The narcissus, at the same time, wants to admire him and can quickly get angry and become aggressive.
We get a dose narcissisum in our kids age but , if infantile narcissism does not evolve into a healthy real self-esteem and remains unchanged in adolescence , the person is constantly hurt by reality and denies it by rebellion, exaggerating and inventing qualities for which he seeks admiration and recognition.
In this line of thought, pathological narcissism is a reaction to an early self-esteem. The external behavior of these people is strongly contradicted by their inner experiences, dominated by fear, insecurity, anger, and enmity of life. This clash of the real and ideal "I" is at the root of narcissistic personality disorder, which is pathology.
The pathologically narcissistic personality meets certain criteria. These are:
A sense of grandeur and a special self-importance. Sincere faith in unrealistic abilities and a special mission of this world.Obsessive fantasies of outstanding success, unlimited power, luxury life, ideal love.
Requiring admiration and admiration for the environment for which he does not care. Others are needed only to reflect their own uniqueness, but the pathologically narcissistic personality does not answer them with emotional concern.
Exploitation of the environment to achieve the goals.
Arrogance and arrogance in broadcasting and communication.
A strong belief that others are jealous of him !
The pathological narcissus is often presented in different images - lover, dreamer, professional, talent, innovator. He changed these masks to impress. The contrast with reality is what fills him with despair and anger, but he loads it and keeps it going.
Aging, illness and lack of delighted audiences can trigger a more serious mental pathology.
Medication treatment does not apply and usual this people never realize the problem they have. The main therapeutic approach to patients with such pathology is psychotherapy.
By analyzing the current environment of work and existence, it seems at first sight that almost every person has manifested or displayed elements of his narcissistic prophet every day. In this line of thought, the question arises whether nowadays the norm has not become an unattainable magnitude.
In times of individualism and self-reliance, the issue of narcissism is particularly relevant. Psychoanalysis divides narcissism into a healthy and pathological one. Sometimes the imaginary boundary between these two states is so thin that our notion is blurring between established norms and pathology.
It is assumed that most people have a practical dose of healthy narcissism. It is the necessary minimum self-esteem, belief, and knowledge of one's own qualities that allow the person to walk in his path without being suppressed by the perceived difficulties and objective obstacles in reality.
Healthy narcissus has a stable, mature and realistic picture of itself. He relies on his real abilities and works on improving his conscious qualities to make his real image fit or approaching his ideal ideas for him or her. In other words, he has a real self-esteem of his value and even exaggerates what he can get.
What you think about me ? I am just self-esteem or narcisstic ?
