오늘 여러분은 무슨 생각을 하고 있나요?
What are you thinking today?
불금이니까, 빨리 퇴근해서 보고 싶은 친구들과 저녁을 먹으면서 직장상사를 안주삼아 뒤 담화를 까면서 스트레스를 확 풀 수도 있고, 등산을 좋아하는 사람이라면 차에 항시 비치해둔 등산복으로 갈아입자마자, 마음은 벌써 단풍이 불타는 가을산속을 날아다니고 있을지도 모릅니다.
It's Friday; you might want to meet up with your friends over dinner, talking crap about your bosses, and relieve stress. You might change into your trekking suit and go for a hike in the mountains with fall leaves brightening up the whole place.
예전의 저 같으면, 서늘한 바람에 갈대가 흔들리는 호젓한 저수지에 낚싯대를 담그면서 세월을 낚고 있을 겁니다.
If I were me years ago, I would probably head out to a peaceful lake and fish for hours.
이런 사람들은 전쟁터에 있는 군인들이 아니라 평안하고 소소한 일상을 즐기는 이들입니다.
These people are the ones enjoying small happinesses; they are nothing like soldiers in the middle of the battleground.
전쟁터에 있는 군인이라면, 언제 어디서 총알이 튀어나올지 모르는 급박한 상황에서 입이 바싹바싹 타들어가는 긴장의 끈을 놓지 않고 있을 겁니다.
If you were a soldier, you'd be on your toes, looking out for bullets or other nightmarish situation coming to your way.
거의 대부분의 크리스천들은 전쟁터에 있지 않죠.
But most Christians don't consider themselves in the battle field.
먹고 사는 일에 바쁘기는 하지만, 나름대로 평안한 종교생활을 하고 있을 뿐입니다.
They are busy with work, making ends meet; but their religious lifestyle is really nothing but the 'lifestyle.'
네가 그리스도 예수의 좋은 군사로 나와 함께 고난을 받을찌니 군사로 다니는 자는 자기 생활에 얽매이는 자가 하나도 없나니 이는 군사로 모집한 자를 기쁘게 하려 함이라(딤후2:3,4)
Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer. (2 Timothy 2: 3-4)
우리의 씨름은 혈과 육을 상대하는 것이 아니요 통치자들과 권세들과 이 어둠의 세상 주관자들과 하늘에 있는 악의 영들을 상대함이라(엡6:12)
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6: 12)
성경은 여러분이 살아가는 방식과 사고방식에 상관없이, 여러분이 이 세상을 지배하는 악한 영과 피터지게 싸우는 군사라고 말하고 있습니다.
The Bible say you are a soldier that fights against demons that rule this world, no matter what you think or live.
여러분은 예배 시에 우리가 그리스도의 군사라는 찬송가를 따라 부르지 않습니까?
Don't you sing along the hymn when you're in church, the one that says we are soldiers of Christ?
악한 영과 싸우는 전쟁터에 있다고 여기나요?
Do you feel you are in the battle field every moment?
대다수의 크리스천들은 자신들이 싸워야 할 적은 물론, 그들이 어떤 전략과 무기로 공격하는지, 그리고 자신이 어떤 무기로 대응하여야 하는지 전혀 무지합니다.
Most Christians don't even know who to fight against; they don't even see the need to fight, let alone what kind of weapons to use.
말하자면 말은 자신이 그리스도의 군사라고 말하고는 있지만, 그들의 생각은 무능하고 무지한 민간인일 뿐이에요.
In other words, they believe they are soldiers of Christ, but they are nothing but ignorant humans unaware of the spiritual warfare.
기가 막히게, 우리네 교회지도자들조차 군사를 훈련시켜 용사를 배출하는 사역을 하지 않고 종교의식과 신앙행위를 반복하는 종교주의자를 만들고 있을 뿐입니다.
Funny thing is that churches today train people to be great religionists, rather than actual soldiers of God.
성경을 보아 알고 있듯이, 바리새인과 서기관으로 대표되는 율법주의자이자 종교주의자들은 귀신들의 좀비가 되어 지옥 불에 던져졌습니다.
And you should know that people in the Bible like Pharisees and scribes were the best religious people you can ever find; and they were thrown into Hell fire.
그러나 여러분은 제 주장이 실감나지 않을 거예요.
But I am pretty sure you just don't feel or understand what I say.
보이지 않는 적과 소리 없이 싸우는 영적 전쟁을 감지하는 분별력과 영적 무기가 없기 때문입니다.
It is because you don't have the discernment or spiritual weapons to fight against the invisible enemies.
육신을 좇는 자는 육신의 일을, 영을 좇는 자는 영의 일을 생각하나니 육신의 생각은 사망이요 영의 생각은 생명과 평안이니라 육신의 생각은 하나님과 원수가 되나니 이는 하나님의 법에 굴복치 아니할뿐 아니라 할 수도 없음이라 육신에 있는 자들은 하나님을 기쁘시게 할 수 없느니라(롬8:5~8)
Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. (Romans 8: 5-8)
예수께서 돌이키사 제자들을 보시며 베드로를 꾸짖어 가라사대 사단아 내 뒤로 물러가라 네가 하나님의 일을 생각지 아니하고 도리어 사람의 일을 생각하는도다 하시고(막8:33)
But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. “Get behind me, Satan!” he said. “You do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns. (Mark 8: 33)
우리의 싸우는 무기는 육신에 속한 것이 아니요 오직 어떤 견고한 진도 무너뜨리는 하나님의 능력이라 모든 이론을 무너뜨리며 하나님 아는 것을 대적하여 높아진 것을 다 무너뜨리고 모든 생각을 사로잡아 그리스도에게 복종하게 하니 너희의 복종이 온전하게 될 때에 모든 복종하지 않는 것을 벌하려고 준비하는 중에 있노라(고후10:4~6)
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete. (2 Corinthians 10: 4-6)
우리가 싸워야 할 적은 미혹의 영인 귀신들이죠.
The ones we must fight against are the spirits of falsehood.
이들은 목적은 우리로 하여금 죄를 짓게 하는 것이며, 우리의 머리를 타고 들어와 죄의 덫을 놓고, 자신들의 생각을 넣어주어 죄에 걸려들게 만들려고 부추기고 있어요.
Their goal is to make us sin; they come into our heads and put traps and sinful thoughts; they put their thoughts into us so we will fall for their ruse.
이들이 쳐 놓는 죄는 육체를 추구하며 사람의 일을 생각하고 좇게 하는 겁니다.
The traps they set makes us to chase human and worldly thoughts and pursue.
그러나 대다수의 우리네 교인들은 이 죄를 죄라고 생각하지도 않습니다.
But Christians today don't even think this is sin.
교회에 온 목적이 세속적이 축복을 받아 부자가 되고 성공하려는 것이며, 하나님의 도우심과 기도응답으로 자신이 꿈꾸는 삶을 이루어서 행복하게 살고 싶은 겁니다.
Their reason for coming to church is to receive worldly blessings and success--they want God's help so they can achieve their dream life,
그러나 성경은 그게 바로 미혹의 영이 넣어주는 죄라고 콕 집어서 밝히고 있으니 기가 막히지 않습니까?
But isn't it funny to see the Bible pinpoints and says this is what spirits of falsehood exactly do, tempting us to sin?
그러나 성경에서 무어라고 말하고 있더라도 아무도 받아들이지 않습니다.
They don't accept anything that goes against them, even if the Bible says so.
그리고는 자신들의 종교의식과 희생적인 신앙행위를 내세워서 하나님의 도우심을 강요하고 있어요.
And they demand God's help, showing their sacrificial church activities and religiousness.
그러니 이들이 어떻게 영적 전쟁을 알 수 있으며, 악한 영과 싸우는 정예용사가 될 수 있을까요?
So how can they know about spiritual warfare? How can they become warriors of God that fight against demons?
이들은 이미 미혹되어서 귀신들의 소리를 듣고, 하나님의 뜻이 아니라 오직 자신의 육체가 원하는 삶을 추구하고 있으니 기가 막힌 일입니다.
These people are the ones who got tempted by demons, following what their body desires, not what God wants them to desire.
그 때에 너희는 그 가운데서 행하여 이 세상 풍조를 따르고 공중의 권세 잡은 자를 따랐으니 곧 지금 불순종의 아들들 가운데서 역사하는 영이라 전에는 우리도 다 그 가운데서 우리 육체의 욕심을 따라 지내며 육체와 마음의 원하는 것을 하여 다른 이들과 같이 본질상 진노의 자녀이었더니(엡2:2,3)
In which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. (Ephesians 2: 2-3)
저는 오랫동안 이 전쟁터의 한가운데서 살아왔습니다.
I've been living in right smack in the middle of the battleground.
수많은 전쟁에서 지기도 하고 이기기도 하며 전선을 지키고 있죠.
I've lost many battles; I've won many, too; and I'm still standing in the field today.
미혹의 영이 넣어주는 공격은 실로 강력하기 그지없습니다.
The attacks these spirits of falsehood carry out are stronger than anything you've ever felt.
예수님이 수제자로 삼으신 베드로조차 눈치 채지 못하였으며 가룟 유다는 한방에 훅 가버리지 않았습니까?
Apostle Peter, whome Jesus hand picked to be his follower, did not even recognize their ruse; Judas Iscariot failed with one blow.
그 이유는 우리의 마음과 생각은 이미 태어날 때부터 변질되어, 육체의 욕심을 따라 육체와 마음이 원하는 것을 하는 본질상 진노의 자녀이기 때문이에요.
It is because our hearts are already altered, even before we were born, and we are programmed to follow what the body wants. We were by nature deserving of wrath.
본질상 진노의 자녀라는 뜻은, 우리의 본성이 마귀의 소리를 듣고 하나님의 원수를 따라가는 귀신의 자녀라는 의미입니다.
That basically means we are by nature children of sin, who listens to demons' voices and follow the enemy of God.
그래서 예수 그리스도의 보혈의 능력을 의지하며, 날마다 죄를 철저하게 고백하며 회개하며 육체가 원하는 생각에 맞서서 피터지게 싸워 승리하는 삶을 살아야 합니다.
That is why we must depend on the power of the blood of Christ, fight against sins, confess the sins we've committed, and win over these battles daily.
그런 사람들이 바로 그리스도의 군사인 셈이죠.
These people are the soldiers of Christ.
그러나 우리네 교회에는 용사는 사라지고 무능하고 무기력한 민간인들만이 남아 있으니 기가 막히는 일입니다. 그러니 이 일을 어찌할까요....
But our churches only have powerless commonders, wihtout warriors of prayer God had hoped. Lord... what should we do...
