This is another shot I could recover from the recording session of my album , we tracked both drums and bass at the same time because I wanted more of a Live feeling in the rhythm section, an approach that is not done so much anymore. Of course many tracks will be recorded in overdubs but the core of the songs are just big takes with minor edition, keeping them as natural as possible.
Of course to be able to make this approach work you need a very tight rhythm section , meaning musicians with very good timing and precise performance.. luckily i had that covered :D ! Both Julian Piterman (drums) and Damian Carballal (bass) are my bandmates in ''The Anfibios'' and with me we conform the rhythm section for Pablo Tevez so I knew the chemistry was already established.
The recording session was a success and I am editing and doing overdubs for the first song to be released in the next couple weeks! :D
For the gear geeks , the bass was recorded direct to an Avalon VT-737sp channel strip. Nice and warm tone!
