Hello hive.
Happy and blessed needleworkmonday and happy new week to you all of my colleagues in the community, how are you all fairing, i hope everything goes perfectly and smoothly with you all, I'm so excited for being here with you all and i will be sharing with you all on how i cut and sew this beautiful and fitted maxi long gathers gown for my new client, using vintage material.
So there was this beautiful flare gown i posted recently that i sewn for my client, she is about 6 or 7 month pregnancy.
So likes the gown very well, so according to her, she came back and told me that one of her friend likes the gown and she's pregnant also, so she wants me to make something like that for her and her own will be long, well i told her to come with her so are we from the her mouth, so after she went out two days later they came back which i didn't have hope that they will come again, then her friend gave me the vintage material and shown me the picture of what she wants, the only problem there was that she needed a urgent work which is not really good for me, i wanted to reject the work but my friend called me out and i said i should try and make it for her that she needed a personal customer, i told her that i will be going for chior rehearsal by 5pm, which was on Saturday, we all know how some customers behave, they joined voices together mistake that is nothing there is something to cut and join doing the gathers will not even take much time, I was like hmmmmm let me see if I will be able to meet up in time because it's already late, i collected the material and then I quickly start working, since the material was 4 yards only i then used only three and a half yeards because she said she don't want it to be too flow or wider, i divided it by two which is the front and the back, i folded them together and measured out the armhole length then i cut it out and I took the full length by 60 of the material then I start stitching the front and the back gathers line, then after that I use my hand and shift it to her complete back and the front body measurements, so i cut out 2 inches pieces of the material i then used it and bind the off shulder neck part, after that i quickly cut another 2 inches pieces and bind the armhole by removing the 14 inches which i off from the upper shulder part then i bind the two side armhole properly.
I then joined the front and the back body together.
So here is the outcome of it.
This was so nicely done, they was even in shocked when i called and told them that I'm done with it and I'm going out to weaved it that i will deliver it to them once I'm done with the weaving, it was so beautiful on her, exactly what she wanted, so was so excited that i didn't disappoint her, even though i want to the chior rehearsal late i was really excited that i didn't disappoint her and the gown didn't has any problem.
