Hello everyone, how are you? Today I bring you a bread recipe, a somewhat different bread because it has carrot so it has a special touch of sweetness, it's great because you can accompany it both sweet and salty. Do you dare to try it?
INGREDIENTS
- 500 gr whole wheat flour
- 6 grams of yeast
- 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon of poppy seeds
- 1 teaspoon of sunflower seeds
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
- 1 tablespoon of black sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts
- 125 ml vegetable milk
- 125 ml warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 150 g grated carrots
- 1/4 teaspoon of powdered ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of powdered nutmeg
PREPARATION
- Mix the dry ingredients: flour, yeast, sugar and salt, together with the seeds and spices in a large bowl.
- In another bowl mix the milk, water and olive oil.
- Then we integrate the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients and mix well, then add the grated carrot.
- We put a cloth on top and let it leaven for 2 hours in a warm place, it can be near the fireplace, a stove or if it is a good day in the sun.
- Knead the bread again and put it in a loaf pan or else we will give it the shape we like, then with a serrated knife we will make some cuts on top, 3 or 4 cuts will be enough.
- We will bake it for 50 minutes, the first 15 minutes we will put a tray with water below the oven and we will put the bread on the rack a point lower than the center, with the fire only below and fan, if your oven does not have the fan function put it fire up and down and cover the bread with a bowl.
- When the 15 minutes are up, remove the pan with the water and continue baking for another 20 minutes. After this time we change the heat to up and down, and in the case of having used the bowl, we will remove the bowl. This way it will toast on top.
