A Steemit First?
The task seems daunting at first, but my doubts were laid to rest after the thunderous applause by the students of Sultan Idris University, a public institution of higher learning in Malaysia. managed to wow the crowd with his enigmatic fingerstyle performance by belting out two pieces. The atmosphere was electrifying. Who says only funky hair with torn jeans and metal chains are good with guitar. Edward is a bespectacled young man with a neat haircut, the type that any girl would feel relieved to show to their parents and he managed to get the crowd wild. The crowd that was present numbers at approximately 80 as they are present for their weekly presentation and the faculty of music and arts has slotted us after their recital to talk about Steemit.
The crowd was a very responsive crowd and a pretty loud one too. They clapped and cheered and wasn't afraid to show their appreciation. The next performer was one of the best guitarist that we have in Malaysia. He performs live as guest artist and he is paid to compose songs. He wowed the crowd with a slow sentimental piece by Kris Dayanti which after transation means 'Counting the Days'. The crowd stood up and chanted encore. It was obvious they didn't want the performance to stop.
Spreading the Steemit Love
We were invited as a guest by the Faculty of Music and Arts by the Sultan Idris University to speak of our experience with this new platform and we were given a free reign on how we want to deliver our contents.
(this is me addressing the crowd on the concept behind Steemit and how it fare against other social media platform)
It was quite a pleasant surprise how much the students know about bitcoins and cryptocurrency. Since they are quite aware of the concept of 'Proof of Work', I introduced them the concept of 'Proof of Brain'. It was a relatively easy task as the students are quite bright and very interactive. I think it has something to do with their course, they tend to be quite warm and expressive.
Hatching our Idea to do a First
We were treated by the faculty to a light snack in the university canteen and it was on the house. We were pleased that our presence was very much a welcomed one. The lecturers joined us and pitched the idea of having a second visit and perform to a bigger crowd. A strong crowd of approximately 400 people. We were given a good assurance that they will back up our effort. It was indeed a very good news to us.

We are now introducing our next feature which we believe will be a first on Steemit. Seems daunting but it will be worth it.
We now seek to introduce you our effort in creating a
Steem-Music Concert
I now present you the very first concert which is powered by our community of #steem-music. We wish to garner as much support as possible to make this a dream come true. We are not short of talent and the recent influx of many great musicians into this platform under the community banner of #steem-music, we feel the need to live to our tag...
