It was by no means a quiet morning. Got myself up at 8 a.m. and headed for my table tennis tournament in Bangsar South. Did the group match and left for Urban 360 which is new swanky pad. Been planning to have a decent meal together many weeks prior to this but unfortunately panda had a bad leg and was hospitalized. If you ever see a panda limp, your sympathy will follow.
I was really late and unfortunately I am the guy who is supposed to pack the lunch. So, a quick stop at the Sentul market, I managed to swooped 8 packs of nasi lemak and some Indian savories. I apologized for not being able to pack the famed Bah Kut Teh that everyone is so looking forward to. Arrived at 1.50 p.m. and the security was tight. They refuse to let me in unless answer his intercom.
So I loitered around the lobby area and sneaked in with one of the resident. He wasn’t very pleased but you can’t suspect me to be a rascal or troublemaker when my hands are full of food. Definitely I am here to feed some hungry stomachs. Nevertheless, there was a security breach and the entire episode was recorded in the CCTV. For a while I felt like MacGyver, I beat the system and the Nepalese guards.
LET THE PARTY BEGIN
Arrived at Panda’s nest and was greeted at the lift. I guessed that the rest of the gang must be hungry. Panda has a friend who got lost 4 hours ago and is not contactable. Otherwise we will have a bigger party. and
has spread the dishes out. This was the sight that greeted me upon arrival.
The gang immediately swooped in on the nasi lemak but damn it was spicy. There were 3 little mini-me of our dear and they are all dressed like their mom. Cute to say the least. The nasi lemak was spicy but it went down the throat all right. The father will have to bear all the brunt of the grueling chilly by eating what the kids can’t take. Instead of having just watery eyes, he had watery eyes and a very satisfied face that says ‘thank you, the food is DAMN good.’ Well, I did not forget that
is having her vegetarian diet. So, she has her specially catered vegetarian nasi lemak.
After appeasing the hungry crowd, that was when suddenly and
came to mind. It would have been a grander party if they could be present, but nevertheless the support from the main guys in #teammalaysia was alive and kicking. We were also expecting
and her daughters but they could not make it.
SPECIAL SOUVENIRS
Like all big events, there is the door gift that we always look forward to. This is no exception. Because uncle was the one that bought them the nasi lemak, there was a show of love and affection. I receive two hearts. One of which I am proudly hanging in my car.
The girls started making the heart last night and completed it solely for teammalaysia. Anyway the place was swanky enough, it was facing a huge ass pool and we get to see some residents swimming.
So, here is the writeup for now, more to come in our next foodie trip, very likely to be one in Klang for the famous ‘Bah Kut Teh’.
We are looking forward to the participation of
and special mention to the nice people that we have been interacting with in #theunmentionables. The party would be even nicer if you guys can attend.
