The supplement industry especially the supplement industry that makes fitness supplements such as pre workout and so on are known for their outages claims and scams.
As a natural bodybuilder, I have been consuming fitness supplements all throughout my career. I have taken supplements that claimed to increase my muscle mass by 283% or increase my testosterone levels by 488%, yet nothing happened and I still felt the same.
Therefore, come and join me as I decipher four fitness supplements which you are probably using to be worthless.
- Pre Workout Powder
I have been taking pre workout supplements ever since I started bodybuilding back in high school and most people my age have been doing the same. Pre workout powder is by far the most popular fitness supplement there is, because it makes you feel like an unstoppable monster. In fact it makes you feel like a well caffeinated and well stimulated monster. Do you see where I am going with this... do you see the key word there... "caffeinated".
Most pre workout powder contains a lot of caffeine and other stimulants in them, I personally have taken pre workout powders that have 500mg of caffeine in them per scoop. It didn't do much for me because my caffeine receptors where probably clogged with a lot of caffeine in them. Basically, what I am saying is that there is a way cheaper alternative out there rather then spending big money on pre workout powders. This cheap alternative is called black coffee! Therefore, if you ever feel the need to get yourself amped up before a workout, make yourself a cup of black coffee and eat a pre workout meal high in carbohydrates or take the day off and simply give your body a rest.
- Nitric Oxide Supplements
Nitric oxide supplements are a hot supplement in the bodybuilding and fitness industry right now because us bodybuilders always chase the pump. As the great Arnold Schwarzenegger said the pump is a truly wonderful feeling and he sure is right. However, most nitric oxide supplements are grossly underdosed, the average supplement might only contain three or four grams of nitric oxide product in them. Yet, if you really want to feel the pump and get your nitric oxide levels up you will need to take at least twenty grams of nitric oxide products such as L-Arginine
Fun fact, a bodybuilder that I know which abuses steroids and other performance enhancing drugs takes either half a tablet or a full tablet of anadrol pre workout. He doesn't even take nitric oxide supplements because the pump he gets from anadrol is insane!
- Testosterone Boosters
Pretty self explanatory. Don't believe the label and natural testosterone boosters can't compare to the real stuff, also known as steroids and other performance enhancing drugs!
- BCAA Powder
BCAA powder is another fitness supplement scam. Essentially you are paying for an expensive bottle of under dosed protein. If you don't believe me take a look at the back of your protein powder and look up the amino acid profile and then do the same for the BCAA powder. You will be in shock!
