WHAT ARE BROILER BIRDS?
Broilers are chickens that are specifically rear for meat production. Before they can be ripe for consumption, they must be weighed up to 4weeks to 8 to 9weeks. To rear broilers bird, it takes proper care for them to survive. For a day old broilers, meaning that is the day they were hatched or given birth to.
WHAT ARE THE STEPS I HAD PUT IN PLACE FOR THEM TO FEEL AT COMFORTABLE?
- A SMALL ENCLOSED PLACE
Because they are still small, they need just amount of place or room to reside. They are still small and mobility isn't really necessary at their stage.
- THEY NEED AN AMOUNT OF HEAT
A day old broilers are not really strong to that extent, at this stage, their temperature detest cold. In some occasions, they need heat source either from electricity or any means of heat from fire or something of sort. They eat and drink water from the white and red containers down their. So my own main source of heat for these my broilers is the heat from that big 200watts globe. The heat coming out of that watts is sufficient enough for them to survive or wade off cold from their body. Most time you will see them under this globe to get some more heat from the globe.
- THEIR FEEDINGS
Their feedings at this stage isn't really much. They eat little and take little water to step down.
- In my own case, I want rear them for sales production. Its strictly for business. My plan is to sell them after their 8 or 9th week probably for Christmas and new year.
