I'm not a professional photographer, but I like to curate good posts on HIVE and by doing that "job" I saw a lot of great photographer posts that aren't appreciated enough as they have 1 photo and almost no text... As much as that is OK for Facebook or Instagram, people on HIVE expect a bit more "personal touch" with the author...
In this blogging post, I would like to share some of the things that I have learned about posting on this great platform... As you can see from my other posts, I'm far away from being a whale, or being a member of an exclusive "HIVE club"... 😃 I don't post ONLY photography content, but I like to curate great travel blogs or nice photos in a certain niche...

I know that you are searching for a "perfect photo" when you are doing them... I do that too... It's almost always the case that after creating 1000 photos, only 1-2 can pass as (almost) perfect photos... But... That doesn't mean that the rest 999 photos are bad... They are just "not perfect", but they still have value... Don't forget that...
I would like to share a couple of tips for photographers that would like to share their work on HIVE and grow on this platform... A couple of advice for content creation, NOT advice for taking photos (I'm a noob there... 😃)...
1. Create photo collections instead of posting one photo with 1 sentence
This is probably the most important advice... As I said at the beginning, while posting 1 super-photo from your vacation is great for Facebook or Instagram, it's not a good idea to do it like that on HIVE... We all know that you made hundreds of photos on that vacation, so why not share a bit more with others? Not all but 5, 10, or 20 maybe?
2. Describe your photo collection and your photos from it...
This is probably the biggest obstacle for many photographers... I have an artist friend who does a lot of painting, but also, he likes photography... For him, putting words "around hit art" is a sin! 😃 In some way, it is, as art should speak for itself... But, on the other side, you can write about REASONS why did you take that specific photo... What was interesting that day? You will not do the crime of "talking instead of your photo", but you will rather give more "background" to it... People like that!
3. Share those bad photos too!
This is another tough one... Why would I show that I'm weak? 😃 We understand that a photographer can't make ALL great photos... It's like expecting some athlete to break records every time he performs... Now, when we accept that, we can maybe help others to avoid some mistakes...
Explain why you think that the photo is bad... Maybe you made another one to improve it... Show what you have done to do it better... Share your knowledge with less experienced photographers and they will appreciate it!
By implementing these small tips you will create additional value for your HIVE posts! They will not be just a "one-photo-post", but rather a story that can help others to grow and you to get more friends that have similar interests (and thinking) like you!
Thank you for your time,
