Savegre River overlooking the small bridge that leads to the trail of the falls. This is the lowest point in the valley that can be reached by vehicle, from here you must walk to access the most hidden parts of the river. It is also the point of greatest tourist visitation, since the temperature is more pleasant, however, for most, it is not enough to swim in the waters of the river, but even so, a few brave ones dive into the cold waters.

Another very popular activity in this place is trout fishing. The shores are filled with vacationers with fishing rods and others with makeshift hand ropes. The problem with these is that depending on the season, it becomes difficult (almost impossible) to achieve a photograph with a background free of people, especially during the dry season, when the best afternoons are presented.

However, there are times when you run into luck, and the weather, tourists and luck conspire in your favor. These images are the reflection of a day like this, where I arrived at the river with few expectations. To my surprise the place was almost empty, accompanied only by a couple of foreign tourists, who quickly continued on their way. The clear sky, with a warm light that fell directly on the waters of the river and a pleasant temperature, the ideal conditions.

Simply a perfect afternoon, one of those that I hope will be repeated more often.

Río Savegre con vista hacia el pequeño puente que conduce al sendero de las cataratas. Este es el punto más bajo del valle a donde se puede llegar con vehículo, a partir de aquí se debe caminar para acceder a las parte más escondidas del río. Además es el punto de mayor Visitación turística, pues la temperatura es más agradable, sin embargo, para la mayoría, no es suficiente para nadar en la aguas del río, pero aún así, unos poco valientes se zambullen en las frías aguas.

Otra actividad muy popular en este lugar es la pesca de truchas. La orillas se llenan de vacacionistas con cañas de pescar y otros con cuerdas de mano improvisadas. El problema de tos estos es que dependiendo de la época, se hace dificil (casi imposible) lograr una fotografía con un fondo libre de personas, especialmente durante la época seca, cuando se presentan las mejores tardes.

Sin embargo hay veces en que topas con suerte, y el clima, los turistas y la suerte conspiran a tu favor. Estas imágenes son el reflejo de un día así, donde llegué al río con pocos expectativas. Para mi sorpresa el lugar estaba casi vacío, acompañado solo por un par de turistas extranjeros, que rápidamente siguieron su camino. El cielo despejado, con una luz cálida que caía directamente sobre las aguas del río y una temperatura agradable, las codiciones ideales.

Simplemente una tarde perfecta, de esas que yo espero que se repitan más a menudo.
