Today I stopped by my friend Camejo's house, the painter I told you about in a post a few weeks ago, and found him still asleep. His mother told me he'd been up until the early hours helping Cleo, one of his pets, with her second litter of the year.
They say that last night around 10 pm, they discovered she had already started giving birth; the firstborn had arrived. They stayed until 2 am, helping Cleo through the delivery until she had six beautiful babies. Finally, they moved the mother and her puppies to this little house where they are happy...
Cleo immediately showed signs of being a good mother, because when I approached them, she adopted a defensive attitude.
Just like when someone took one of the puppies, she remained alert.
Once Camejo and Nicole were up, it was easier to pick up and pet the puppies, who were barely half a day old. Cleo was always worried about them and had even left the little house once to rescue her cub from Nicole's affection and return it to the pack.
It was mid-morning and Cleo was hungry, she ate with gusto and luckily it was clear that she had enough milk to breastfeed the babies.

Hoy pase de visita a casa de mi amigo Camejo, el pintor de quién les conté en un post hace algunas semanas y encontré que aún dormía. Así supe por su Madre que había estado hasta la madrugada asistiendo a Cleo, una de sus mascotas en su segundo parto del año.
Dicen que anoche sobre las 10 pm, descubrieron que ya había comenzado a parir, el primogénito ya había llegado al mundo. Y así estuvieron hasta las 2 de la madruga apoyando a Cleo en el parto hasta completar un número de seis bellas criaturas. Al final trasladaron a la madre con sus cachorros a esta casita donde se encuentran felices...
Enseguida Cleo dio señales de ser una buena madre pues al acercarme a ellos, adoptó una actitud defensiva.
