I went to the farm yesterday to pluck a leaf we call mmeme in my area, that leaf is very good for the health
I do not know the English name of the leaf but all I know is that it is called mmeme, this leaf can be squeezed and drank with cold or warm water.
If someone just came out from the hospital, most doctors in my community advice a patient to take more of this leaf, either in its juicy form or by cooking the leaf.
The leaf is known to be very rich in essential vitamins and can help build the human blood cells and also the leaf is suitable for any kind of person at all, whether the person is sick or not.
This leaf also helps to improve the health of the immune system and it can be taken cooked or raw. When my Dad came back from surgery, this is the leaf we cooked for him like soup with other sea foods to enable his quick recovery.
I used this leaf to cook okro soup and it was very delicious, funny enough I did not remember to take a photo of the soup I cooked with this leaf, but I will ensure I do that next time I use this leaf to cook.
This leaf called mmeme can also be used to cook different delicacies, one can add it as veggies to noodles, plantain porridge, pepper soup, ekpang, yam porridge and one can even use water leaf to combine with this leaf for cooking and it will come out very delicious.
This leaf is not just delicious, but it also has nutritional values, and it is highly recommend over here in my community for consumption.
We are in the rainy season over here and the leaf is not planted but just grows on its own. It sprouts in farm lands and mostly moist areas.
Do you have this leaf in your location? You can also try it. How do you call this leaf in your community. Thank you for reading.
