Sir James Dyson, famed for vacuum cleaners and other household clever electrics has joined the electric car market, investing 2 billion in development, 1bn in an ev battery and 1bn in the development of the electric car.
Up to to 400 people will be working on the top secret project; Sir James had the idea in the 80's, and now he is in the perfect position to develop and manufacture an ev, having developed motors and batteries.
Sir Dyson has said the car won't be aimed at the mass market, and will be clean and radically different, which fits into the inventors vision, who is famed for accusing car manufacturers of polluting the world with emissions from diesel vehicles.
Yet to be unveiled are any pictures, the vehicles range, top speed or production numbers. The unveiling of the idea was in a small room, where Sir James explained he wanted to make a clean car, then a video was shown of James on Blue Peter demoing his vacuum to suck soot from a diesel exhaust system, with his famous cyclone system, it now appears this system is to be used in his EV concept.
EV's are certainly the future, and it will be interesting to see the likes of James Dyson's electric car enter the arena of Tesla, Nissan, Renault etc - expect to see the invention in 2020.
