Hello fellow Steemians, the world of Steemit has got just 'got real', excuse the lingo - It is no longer a virtual community, we can now put a name to a face.
We arrived this being
&
in London literally 10 minutes before the Steemit presentation, not bad to think we left Nottinghamshire at lunch time and had braved the M1 and M25 on a Friday afternoon. We literally steemed in to and grabbed our seats, the presentation had an impressive audience who looked inquisitive, in a word.
Yes this isn't following our normal train of thought, of being 100% cars, however this meetup gave us the oportunity to meet some of our supporters who are getting the Planet Auto name and soon to be Redhead Roadtrip out into the world of Steemit, and see who we were supporting, thus helping grow the community -PS I'll add a car picture at the end, as not to break continuity:)
Not surprising, as before today only a handful in the audience had heard of the blogging platform, let alone were active. We experienced a very concise explanation of steemit with valid reasons to adopt, by 5 Steemians, and bravo for getting into that show, to succeed these are the places Steemit needs to be.
We quizzed the guys, and Michelle had a chat, showed them her account, and that was it, the guys wanted to show the audience this amazing success story, we also posed the question:-
How do we integrate the SMT or Smart Media Token system into our own websites?
The guys explained it would be next March- ish and we would be approached where they would discuss options on how to adopt the SMT system and reward our contributors and curators.
We chatted somemore with the guys
please comment below if I've missed you (probably the 6 hour journey home, which should have taken 3, totally worth it though).
Then we headed off to The Queen's Head, to meet up with and attend the London Steemit meet and catch up with fellow Steemians and of course grab our complimentary drink from the pub.
We met some great people
and of course
who organised the gathering, thank you.
We chatted, chilled and relaxed, grabbed some shots and of course selfies.
These meets are a must for the success of the Steemit community growing.
