Good Afternoon Everybody,
As it's Halloween season, the confectionary companies have brought out their spooky flavoured sweets and treats. I don't normally have toffee flavoured things and I thought these would be a nice treat to have that incorporated shortbread, toffee and buttercream. I was rather looking forward to these terrifying treats.

Kipling Toffee Terror Whirls 6 Pack
"Shortcake Whirls Filled with Toffee Flavour Buttercream and Toffee Sauce.
It's the Little Things That Mean the Most Like an Exceedingly Good Cake from Mr Kipling.
Exceedingly Good Cakes."
I took out my first whirl and bit into it whole. I didn't get much of a toffee taste. I thought maybe that was because I ate everything together and the flavour got lost amongst it all. I had another one whole but the same thing. Was I missing something here? So I decided to pull the whirls apart and ate each half on its own. Ok, so the shortcake was lovely and buttery and the buttercream was smooth, but still no taste of the toffee. At one point I though maybe I was mistaken and it was a toffee flavoured buttercream. I inspected the other halves closely and there definitely was toffee under the buttercream. This really had no flavour at all. Quite disappointing really.
If it says toffee then I expect to taste it. Honestly, this tasted just like shortcake and buttercream. No other flavours at all. Just glad I didn't pay the full price for them.
