Freewriting
This is my fifteenth #freewrite exercise! Five minutes of writing, without any breaks or editing. Today's prompt is Snake. I had fun doing this - each day I am defeating writer's block and going into a style of writing or an idea which I am not familiar with.
Motherf*cking Fairy
Alert! A snake slithers, its toxic fangs ready to poison me. Fool. It's speed is fast, but it is bound by gravity.
Whoosh. I leap in the air, and float. I'm a motherf*cking fairy. It hisses, swirling beneath me. It musters all its energy and channels it to its head. Pathetic. It is nowhere close of reaching me. Few tries and it gives up - that's how it always goes. I know by now, I am untouchable.
Not many creatures tend to threaten me. Smarter creatures know their limits. This snake doesn't. It's presistent. My wings throw gusts in its face; sand storms in its eyes. Angered. But it hides its tongue and the sharp fangs, for they find the sand to taste bland. Continous hissing. I have all day, I can fly away - but what is the point if the snake would think it won? I am no quitter. I will stand here, flapping my wings, throwing gusts of air and sand into its stubborn face.
Sneaky, it slithers around. Tries to play hide and seek. It doesn't work - silly. It continues to slither round and round, as if it was trying to hypnotise me, but I am immune. ARGH! A sharp sting pierces through my neck. It was luring me while another snake climbed the tree, hung from a branch and bit me from above!
Inspiration
I found inspiration in being a fairy! There was a time when 'fairy' could have been thrown at me as an insult, but now it is totally a compliment that I would love to receive. Hopefully, my destiny is different than the fairy in this story.
